plenty of us around here, including me waste time on trying to make others happy before ourselves. if you yourself cant be happy then why waste your time? living in a world where happiness is now mostly dependent on sex, drugs, and alcohol…things tend to get a lil crazy. what happens when all of those things are taken away from you, and the only person u really know around you is yourself?...

dont loose sight of your mission. things may be going on at home, or with your significant other but deploying and or having to accomplish any kind of task your first priority needs to be taking care of yourself and your battle buddies. once you come back in one piece and are stable again then you can readjust your priorites. till then the main thing is to come back home so that everything else...

alright this ones for all you who try to be independent ones… me being the person i am, is very independent being a civilian, but as a soldier you really need to know understand and learn that your always going to need your “battle buddies”. they will be your main support system, not to mention its a rule to always have a partner beside you. 2 is better than 1. you’ll see...

learn to stay positive and “hunt the good stuff”. look, we all know that when we are away from what we know and love for long periods of time, most everyone tends to start gettin upset n depressed. i have, and i get it. but to keep a positive outlook is key. no matter how shit your time away is, there is always positives with being in the army. money, experience, opportunities, gaining...

Discipline is one of the main things you need to make sure you gain/have. the army loves to throw little stupid rules at you all the time. if u break those lil tiny rules, that can result in you getting into huge trouble. just remember the rules were placed there for a reason…believe me, i have to remind myself of...

Learning to let go of the little things that bother you will get you a long way in the army, theres always going to be shit that WILL bother you. if you can jus brush it off your shoulder and roll with the punches, life will be sooo much easier. times will get rough and your gonna wanna quit but you learn to just push forward. motivation is key. false motivation is better than none at all. helping those around you will in return help you. its a revolving circle! learn to accept changes in a split second and and be very flexible, the army couldnt be any better for throwing people thru a loop!!!!

sometimes i just have to do whats good for me, my career, and well…my life. i’ve have to make some of the hardest decisions of my life. i cant do things that will set me astray from my ultimate goal of coming home from this deployment and doing the best i can. i have the greatest support from my family and friends and thats all i need. like it or not, no one but my battles will...
